Winter weather around the northern hemisphere

Temperatures have plunged in parts of Europe and further east. Among the hardest hit countries is Ukraine, where as many as 30 people have died on snow-covered streets, in hospitals and in their own homes in the past four days. Parts of France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Turkey have all seen heavy snowfalls
G2: How to look good while freezing
Flickr pictures of the winter weather

It’s kind of screwed up (read: insensitive) that the main graf is about how 30 people have died because of the cold weather and the next link is about “looking good while freezing”.
On a very different note, I really love the photograph.

Hibernation

Based on recent events, I think the universe is telling me I should just stop now and hibernate. Also, my new flannel sheets make it quite hard to leave my bed.

“The league office declined to make the trade for basketball reasons.”

NBA spokesman Tim Frank on the nixed trade deal that would have sent Lamar Odom to the New Orleans Hornets, Pau Gasol to the Houston Rockets and Chris Paul to the Lakers.

The league office declined to make the trade for basketball reasons. For basketball reasons. For basketball reasons. If you say it long enough, it sounds like a Zen koan.

The Ongoing Struggle with Technology

My MacBook hard drive has crashed. Womp womp. RIP little hard drive.

If anyone happens to have Microsoft Office, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe InDesign that they could give me, I would love you forever. And bake you brownies.
