Our Travel section today goes on a vibrantly colored trip through Amsterdam, the hospitably bohemian Dutch capital that draws scores of international visitors in spite of (or because of?) its newly cleaned up red light district.

All this hoopla about the Emerson College Lady Gage LipDub made me think about another Emerson production I was a part of, the Spring 2009 Kasteel Well Single Ladies music video. With the recent discovery of some lost photographs, I’ve been missing the Castle a lot lately. I mean, I miss the Castle all the time. Literally, once a day. Okay, maybe not quite that much. But you get the idea.
Two years ago, I was preparing for a grand adventure in Europe. Now, I’m getting ready for another grand adventure - life outside of Emerson College. Granted, I have another full semester before I head into the real world. But things like the LipDub remind me how amazing these past three and a half years of my life have been. They also make it hard to think of saying goodbye and starting somewhere new. But it’s far too early for me to get sentimental.
My motto this past semester has been, “be here now.” So, for now, here I am. I’m thankful to have been a part of a big Emerson production and ready to begin a new adventure.
