Thought Catalog: 4 Things People Don't Tell You About New York
Woof. So true. Especially, #2. Not so much #1, but mainly because I wasn’t really relying on someone to get me an “in” and my connections have actually been super helpful. It’s too early to say anything about #3, but I think I had a healthy understanding that moving is hard and this city was never meant to be “easy.” And yes, #4 is so true it’s sad. I’m supposed to dress in a style that is “cool, hip, and reflects the Brooklyn lifestyle.” Ummm, this is the girl who almost bought a jacket in the kids section of Target.
